The main topic for this newsletter is distance measurement and low light detection.
Our newest products for distance measurement, including LIDAR and beam steering can be found on our Photonics West site.
Our new interactive tool MPPC (SiPM) linearity lets you estimate MPPC (SiPM) linearity for any number of microcells, recovery time, photon detection efficiency (PDE), and pulse width. The tool plots the number of microcells fired and the linearity vs. the number of incident photons.
Coming up, is an interesting series of webinars on the topics of Laser-driven light sources (LDLS), quantum technology, imaging, and digital pathology.
This month's product highlights are Photo ICs for distance measurement and Micro PMTs & assemblies.
Our new products featured in this issue are:
- Low light detection - SPAD (SPPC) modules
- Low light detection - GaAsP/GaAs PMT modules
- Distance measurement - 1D position-sensitive detectors (PSDs)
- Spectroscopy - MCP assembly for miniature mass spec
- Infrared measurement - Thermopile detector for flame detection
- X-ray line scan camera
- CMOS linear image sensor for industrial cameras
- MEMS mirrors
- Pulsed fiber laser
- LDTLS tunable broadband light sources
Finally, our Business Development Manager, Jake Li discusses Hamamatsu's role in making critical optical components or assemblies used in LiDAR system.
